I accidentally fell in love with Paris

On my first trip to Paris, I took the train to London for a jewelry event at Fellows. After a few days, I hopped the train back, and as I stepped out of Gare du Nord into a hectic street full of people and Ubers alive with honking horns, I said to myself, “I’m so glad to be home.”

Immediately, I was shook. I didn’t even realize I had fallen in love with Paris that week. Yet here I was, feeling like I was back where I belong, after a few days away. Explain that to my actual home across the ocean!

Since that moment in a magical Paris night, I have tried to find myself in this gorgeous city as often as possible.

Chez Janou

The atmosphere at Chez Janou as perfect as the menu. Be sure to enjoy the full absinthe ritual and save room for dessert while watching the night from this charming corner spot.

Holybelly 5

Once you have had a coffee in Melboune, Australia, you will never be the same. So I will always make a stop at Holybelly 5 when I am in Paris for a long black and some sweet and savory brekkys.

Pastries

Every morning, we would grab a coffee and pastry at a little local spot and then walk to the Canal St Martin to start the day. I loved this gentle beginning of the Parisian adventures ahead of us.

Must Do Adventures

Champagne Cruise

The most touristy thing I wanted to try was a cruise on the Seine, but the dinner cruises didn’t sound like my jam. So when I found the Champagne cruise I knew that was the one for me.

Thrifting by Weight

Stop in a Kilo Shop to snag some vintage treasures that are priced by how much they weigh. The best part? When someone tells you they love your find you get to say, “Oh thanks, I got it in Paris.”

Antiques at the Market

I collect vintage and antique jewelry, and my favorite souvenir is a pretty golden bauble. My favorite place to search for antique gems is the Paris Flea Market in the 18th arrondissement.
